St. Ignatius eliminated at provincials

The St. Ignatius senior girls held the halftime lead, but faded in the third and fourth and were eliminated at the high school basketball AA championship on Friday.

Karissa Kajorinne scored 21 points in a losing cause for the Falcons, who dropped a 54-46 quarterfinal decision to St. Clair at the Sarnia tournament.

Laura Cooper had 13 for St. Ignatius, who went 2-0 in round-robin play before falling to St. Clair, led by Riley Williams’ 38-point outburst.
