The Fort William North Stars will have to wait a little longer to make their 2010-11 Superior International Junior Hockey League debut.

Their scheduled opponent, the expansion Wisonsin Wilderness, was unable to complete the journey Wednesday to Thunder Bay, thanks to a broken-down bus.

“Neither repairs nor a replacement bus from nearby Duluth could be accomplished in time for the Wilderness to arrive in Thunder Bay at a suitable time for the game,” said league president Ron Whitehead in an email release issued just before 6 p.m.

A make-up date will be announced at a future date.

The Stars next game is at home next Wednesday against the Sioux Lookout Flyers. Wisconsin is next scheduled to be in Thunder Bay on Oct. 27.
