Tarabocchia'a 12 leads Gryphons past Churchill

The Gryphons, buoyed by the teens efforts, got by Sir Winston Churchill 37-24, leaving both teams at 2-7.

Elsewhere Aliisa Heiskanen had 19 and Megan Foster pitched in a lucky 13 as the Hammarskjold Vikings remained undefeated at 9-0, whipping the St. Patrick Saints 60-9. The Saints fell to 3-6. In the only other junior girls game, St. Ignatius maintained their hold on second place, getting past Westgate 45-23.

On the senior girls court, Maggie Murphy had 16 points to ensure St. Ignatius (8-1) stayed in first place alone, routing Westgate 57-8. In other action, Hammarskjold downed St. Patrick 56-9 and Churchill beat Superior Collegiate 29-23.

St. Patrick, Churchill and Superior Collegiate each earned wins in senior boys volleyball, with St. Patrick, Hammarskjold and St. Ignatius pulling out win in the junior boys loop.
