Thomson powers LU men hoops win

Ryan Thomson erupted for 11 points in the opening five minutes of the second half and the Wolves pulled away from the Guelph Gryphons in rapid fashion Friday night. Thomson finished with 22 to lead all scorers in the 87-55 triumph.

Ryan Thomson erupted for 11 points in the opening five minutes of the second half and the Wolves pulled away from the Guelph Gryphons in rapid fashion Friday night.

Thomson finished with 22 to lead all scorers in the 87-55 triumph. Matt Schmidt, with 12, and Ben Johnson, with 10, were the only other Wolves players in double figures.

Trevor Thompson led the Gryphons (5-11) with eight.

The two teams hook up again on Saturday.
