Thomson strong in Wolves win over Warriors

Ryan Thomson is starting to wake up. Injured much of the opening half, Thomson potted 19 points on Saturday night to lead the Lakehead Thunderwolves to their fourth straight OUA triumph, an 85-52 walk-over against the host Waterloo Warriors.

Injured much of the opening half, Thomson potted 19 points on Saturday night to lead the Lakehead Thunderwolves to their fourth straight OUA triumph, an 85-52 walk-over against the host Waterloo Warriors.

Greg Carter put up 17 points of his own while Yoosrie Salhia had 16 and was a monster on the glass, grabbing 15 rebounds for the Wolves (5-4).

Jaspreet Gill had 18 to lead Waterloo for the second straight night.

The Wolves return home next weekend for a pair against Brock.
