The Thunder Bay Nationals fell one run short Monday night at the Canadian Junior Little League Championship in Lethbridge, Alta.

The Ontario representatives dropped an 8-7 decision to Quebec (2-3), leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, having failed in two opportunities to get the tying run across.

Brad Thrower scored three times for and Tyler Minoletti drove in a pair for Thunder Bay, who fell to 2-3 and takes on Alberta on Tuesday.
