Burgess knocked off former world champion Al Hackner 8-3.

Bonot, Burgess and Currie sit atop the six-team standings at 2-1.

Hackner, Mike Assad and Dylan Johnston remain in contention at 1-2. Johnston picked up his first win of the weekend at Assad’s expense, rolling to an 8-2 victory in eight ends.

Draw 4 is scheduled for Sunday morning at Port Arthur Curling Club.
