Weber lone Border Cat named to all-star game

THUNDER BAY – Infielder Andy Weber is the lone Thunder Bay Border Cats player headed to the Northwoods League all-star game.

Weber, who has alternated between shortstop and second base in his second go-around with the Cats, is hitting .296 in 18 appearances, with three doubles, a triple and eight RBI.

The all-star game is scheduled for July 18 in Rochester, Minn.

The Border Cats, who edged Eau Claire 9-7 on Thursday night, are 1-1 to start the second half of the 2017 campaign.
