The comeback kids were at it again on Friday night.

Lakehead University’s women’s basketball team stormed back in the fourth quarter on the road in Ottawa, erasing a three-point deficit to beat the host Gee-Gees 52-48.

It was the Thunderwolves (6-1) sixth straight win, and preserved their three-way tie for top spot in the OUA West.

Lindsay Druery led the way for the Wolves, potting 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds. First-year forward Lacey McNulty had a strong night too, notching a double-double on 11 points and an equal number of rebounds.

Sarah Gordon was the only other Lakehead player in double figures, scoring 13.

Sarah Nolette and Hanna Sunley Paisley each had 13 to pace the Gee-Gees (3-4).

The Wolves continue their two-game road trip to the nation’s capital on Saturday when they take on Carleton (5-2).
