The Lakehead Thunderwolves won the final quarter against the Ottawa Gee Gees on Saturday night.
Trouble is, their opponent won the first three.
Carolyn Fragale had 22 points and Kelsey Bardsley finished with 22, but Lakehead’s new-look run-and-gun offence was no match for Ottawa, falling for the fourth straight game 84-72. Ayse Kalkan added 15 for the Wolves, who return home next weekend for games against Laurentian and York.
Maddie Stephen had 22 for the Gee Gees.
