Larson Lawyers' newest associate Lydia Leroux was born and raised in Pass Lake. Now she is back in town practicing in the areas of family law, real estate, wills, and estate planning.

Lydia always knew she wanted to be a lawyer.

“It was something I thought about since I was young, maybe because I had two brothers at home to argue with," she says. I’ve always wanted to do something that was helpful to my community and challenging, lawyering seemed like a good choice.”

Lydia completed her undergraduate studies at Lakehead University where she received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After university, she worked with Larson Lawyers while she prepared for law school. Lydia then relocated to Kingston to complete her law degree at Queen’s University.

At Queen’s University, Lydia completed a full year placement with the Queen’s Family Law Clinic assisting low-income individuals with family court applications. Lydia then completed a year-long placement in the legal department at the Kingston Family and Children’s Services.

Back In Thunder Bay To Practice Family Law, Real Estate, Wills & Estate Planning

“Being away from home makes you remember how much you love it and miss it. I am so happy to be back in Thunder Bay. Although I worked here many years ago, coming back to Larson Lawyers also feels like coming home. I am so excited to start my legal career in Thunder Bay with Rene, Kady and Olivia.”

The team at Larson Lawyers is grateful to have Lydia back with them, now as a licensed and practicing lawyer. Their clients seem to feel the same way. In less than two weeks on the job, she already earned a 5 star Google Review:

“Lydia was excellent to work with. I very much appreciate the prompt,  friendly service and practical advice she provided”. - Robin K

It is no wonder that clients have already taken notice of her positive demeanour in her work. Lydia is a real people person, who’s favourite part of the job is dealing with clients and getting to know them.

“I like real estate work because it is fast-paced and client focused. My favourite telephone calls to make are to new home-buyers letting them know the deal is closed and they can come pick up their keys.”
