Spotlight: Tbaytel 12 Days of Christmas spreads holiday cheer

Tbaytel supported more than a dozen not-for-profits across our region with donations, surprise Christmas parties, gifts, meal preparation and employee volunteers

From the love of connecting with family to the joy of surprising someone with a little bit of kindness, Christmas means many things to many people. For Tbaytel it means celebrating the season with the Tbaytel 12 Days of Christmas, which was back for its eighth year in 2022 to hand out presents, surprise organizations throughout northern Ontario and make everyone’s holidays a little more merry and bright.

“The random acts of kindness, giving back and seasonal celebrations are a way for Tbaytel to say thank you to everyone in our neighbourhood,” said Tbaytel’s Director of Marketing & Communication Amy Meunier.

“Our staff look forward to volunteering their time each year to spread holiday cheer and we were so excited to see the smiles on the faces of people and organizations throughout northern Ontario during our 12 Days of Christmas campaign.”

This year Tbaytel supported more than a dozen not-for-profits across our region with donations, surprise Christmas parties, gifts, meal preparation and employee volunteers. Tbaytel and its Authorized Dealers also popped up in nearly a dozen places around our communities to surprise people with gift cards, Christmas trees and even free gas.

For 2022, Tbaytel’s 12 Days of Christmas included the following surprises:

Day 1 – Supported Salvation Army Thunder Bay by purchasing, preparing and serving meals for their Soup Truck. Plus, we put together a bag of goodies for everyone we served.
Day 2 – Threw a surprise Christmas party for the students and staff at Ogden Community Public School complete with games, prizes, dancing, cookie decorating AND pizza.
Day 3 – Headed out to Sandpiper Farm to buy everyone there a Christmas tree to make their holidays a little more merry and bright.
Day 4 – Gave shoppers at Goods & Co. Market gift cards so they could continue to shop local this holiday season.
Day 5 – Made sure 40 clients of Elevate N.W.O. can stay warm this winter by giving them each a gift bag full of warm clothes and supplies.
Day 6 – Celebrated the season at the Tbaytel Store by giving customers a free pair of AirPods as a thank you for supporting us and so they can listen to some holiday classics.
Day 7 – Dropped by the Options Northwest Christmas party to hand out gift cards for some of their clients’ favourite places around the city.
Day 8 – Had people gassing up at Bannon’s Gas Bar jump for joy by filling up their tank for free.
Day 9 – Dropped by Acadia Broadcasting during their 36 Hours of Cheer to announce our $10,000 donation live on-air.
