Thunder Bay kicks off the weekend with a full lineup of markets and community events. Early risers can head to the Thunder Bay Country Market at 8:00 am, followed by the Goods And Co Market and the Indigenous Artist Market at Goods and Co, both opening at 10:00 am and showcasing a rich variety of local products and Indigenous art. At 10:30 am, make your way to Pier 3 for the Blessing of the Fleet, a cherished tradition honouring Thunder Bay’s maritime community. Then at noon, the city comes alive with the A Midsummer Night's Bean Artisan Crafts and Vendor Market at Rose N Crantz Roasting Co, the creative Block Party Chalk The Block, and the tangy celebration of all things brined at Pickle-Fest at Sleeping Giant Brew Co.
Family fun continues into the afternoon with Chippewa Park Rides & Concession starting at 1:00 pm and live music at the Crossroad Music Summer Series 2025 from 2:00 pm. At 2:30 pm, children can enjoy Storytime with Mz Molly & Friendz at Waverley Resource Library, followed by friendly competition at the Block Party Tug of War Contest at 3:00 pm. As evening sets in, the spotlight turns to the Supreme Drag Sovereign Pageant 2025 at 6:00 pm, celebrating drag artistry and pride. Music lovers can also catch Wilson-Sabaz at The Industry or head to Port Arthur Stadium for the Thunder Bay Border Cats Game at 6:35 pm.
Theatre fans can enjoy classic entertainment with Guys and Dolls: The Musical or GUYS AND DOLLS at Trinity United Church, both starting at 7:30 pm, while Acoustic Night At Nortenos Taqueria offers a relaxed dining and music experience. For the night owls, Whiskey Club At Red Lion Smokehouse and Whiskey Club: Rye Whiskey begin at 9:00 pm, followed by high-energy sets from DJ Rogue at The Foundry and Three Kord Killers at Wayland Bar & Grill, both taking the stage at 10:00 pm. Thunder Bay delivers a Saturday packed with celebration, community, and entertainment from sunrise to last call.
