To the editor: Why have Thunder Bay city councillors rejected a proposal to build an indoor turf facility at St. Ignatius High School? The offer could have saved taxpayers millions.

As our website states “Public Health Ontario keep Ontarians safe and healthy with our partners in government, public health and healthcare”.

To the editor: More than 9,000 people lost their lives in Canada between January 2016 and June 2018 due to opioids. Statistics from Public Health Ontario reveal that 629 people died of opioid overdoses in the first six months of last year.

I have been ashamed and mortified of our city and the infrastructure we have put in place to ensure that it remains a clean safe community.

To the editor: The Police Services and city council. Although city administration was sent back to reduce the tax levy, they were as we were shocked that city council directed almost all the savings to the Police Services. What a Shame.
