To the editor: The Winnipeg Jets announced last week that they were moving their American Hockey League franchise back to Winnipeg from St. John's. Both the Jets and the American Hockey League team will play out of the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

Thunder Bay’s city council is comprised of mostly seasoned vets. So why then, in the final hours of drafting the 2015 municipal budget, did some councillors seem so inexperienced? Take the budget meeting of Monday, March 2 as an example.

We can’t always get what we want. Sometimes when things don’t go as planned and Plan A begins to unravel we have to switch to Plan B.

To the editor: I was a season ticket holder of the Winnipeg Moose. When the team moved to St John's, I was disappointed. When the city got the Jets, we realized getting tickets was next-to-impossible. The arena was built too small.

To the editor: The government’s secret police Bill C-51 is reckless, dangerous, and ineffective. The bill is reckless because it turns CSIS into a ‘secret police’ force with little oversight or accountability.
