To the editor: A month ago, my husband and I lost a beloved pet, our Siamese female, ‘Alice’.

To the editor: I would like the public to understand that there is still one open seat on city council. When I say this I am referring to the deputant's chair, which is open for everyone to use.

To the editor: Last week the city revealed the financing report for funding for the proposed event centre. In the report the city stated that the city's share would be around $42 million or 40 per cent of the projected cost of $114.

I’m trying to decide what kind of Canadian I am. Last Saturday the angry citizens protesting Bill C51 in 70 Canadian cities left me with an ominous feeling of déjà vu.

To the editor: I say kudos to you for not promoting the said racist pages by naming them publicity. It's so unfortunate that this occurs today for our first nations people. To publicly promote your views is very unhealthy to do in any community.

For all the due diligence city hall has conducted in preparation to build a sparkling new event centre, you’d think someone might have thought to give the province a heads up before going public with the figures.
