LETTER: Thanks to Don Wing

To the editor: I was raised across the street from the Dubois family many years ago. I went to school with the girls, Debbie and Gail, the latter later the late Don Wing’s wife.

To the editor: My hometown is Schreiber and earlier this year Schreiber lost one of its finest citizens, Nola Fummerton. Because of our mutual love of music, Nola and I became singing partners in high school in the late 1960s.

To the editor: We are writing to strongly complain about the removal of the LCBO license from Lakeshore Variety Store, Lakeshore Drive, Shuniah, Ontario. This store, under various owners, has had a license to sell Beer and Liquor for over 25 years.

Earlier this year Canada received a rare and valuable gift from China. Two giant pandas, Er Shun and Da Mao, are on loan to Canadian zoos for 10 years. The giant panda is an icon and national treasure in China.
