WATERLOO, Iowa – The Thunder Bay Border Cats couldn’t defeat Mother Nature.

The Cats, scheduled to play a key division match-up on Monday night against the second-place Waterloo Bucks, were rained out.

The two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games on Tuesday.

Makaio Cisneros and Tyler Talbert are slated to take the mound for Thunder Bay, who will look to keep their five-game winning streak alive.

Both the Cats, who sit three games back at 17-10, and Bucks, a game-and-a-half back at 19-9, lost ground to the front-running La Crosse Loggers, who blanked the Eau Claire Express 6-0 on Monday night.

Thunder Bay’s next home game is Friday night against Mankato.
