THUNDER BAY – It was more than just another one of the dog days of summer Sunday at Waverly Park.

Area dog lovers gathered at the park with their furry friends to celebrate Thunder Bay’s inaugural Woofstock Festival. The dog-centred event was created to raise money for the Thunder Bay and area dog rescue groups.

The event featured live entertainment, pet-related exhibits, contests and numerous vendors who where offering up their latest fashions, foods, and other canine products.

"We have everything from a talent show, fashion show, a look-alike contest and even a doggy kissing booth," said Cathy Precosky, co-ordinator of Woofstock.

"There are lots of activities happening at Waverley Park all day.”
