Police arrested a man as he stepped out of the home he is accused of breaking into Monday.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers say the 25-year-old man was arrested as he exited a Selkirk Street North home just before 10 a.m. Monday. The man was arrested without incident, and police found and seized a knife after searching him.
Police say they arrived at the Selkirk Street residence after receiving a 911 call from a 25-year-old woman who reported hearing someone breaking into her home. Police officers had arrived on scene just as the suspect exited the home.
A 25-year-old man is expected to appear in a Thunder Bay courtroom Tuesday morning to face charges of break and enter, and carrying a concealed weapon.
