Police officers in Pikangikum First Nation are investigating what they are calling the suspicious death of a 32-year-old man.
Officers with the Pikangikum Police Service responded to a call of an altercation late Saturday evening. When officers arrived, they found a man was on the side of a road an unresponsive.
The man was transported to the community’s nursing station, where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the deceased is not being released. Police say the name will be released following notification of the man’s next of kin.
A post mortem examination is also pending.
