These seasonal routes connect 32 remote Indigenous communities and the Town of Moosonee, serving approximately 24,000 people across the North.

The festival saw between 1000 to 1500 visitors in and out of the centre alone, according to volunteers with the Lakehead Japanese Cultural Association.

Aaron Gillingham, owner and operator of The Sal restaurant, said everyone at the fair seemed to be having a good time, the sun was out and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Suicide awareness, self-regulation techniques, peer mentorship, gang intervention and mental health workshops will be implemented into existing community programs at the skatepark.
