GERALDTON -- The closure of the TransCanada Highway at the Nipigon River Bridge has prompted Greenstone to declare a State of Emergency. Deputy Mayor Eric Pietsch declared the State of Emergency at 6:10 p.m.

VANCOUVER - There is one winning ticket for the $7-million jackpot in Saturday night's Lotto 6-49 draw. The ticket was sold somewhere in the Welland, Ont., area. The jackpot for the next draw on Wednesday night will be $5-million.

Thunder Bay’s luck with the lottery continued on Friday night. Although there was no winner in the $44-million Lotto Max jackpot draw, a winning Encore ticket worth $1 million was sold in Thunder Bay.
