THUNDER BAY – A driver involved in a dramatic crash on the city’s northside has been charged, and the truck he was driving reported stolen. Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the crash took place Wednesday afternoon just before 6 p.

THUNDER BAY – The city is again looking to honour those committed citizens who work tirelessly to make this community a safer place.

THUNDER BAY -- A pilot program is trying to keep people safer on the city's active living corridor. The city has installed 90 fiberglass bollards along Arundel Street between the roadway and its two-way multi-use trail.

It’s been a rough 12 months, says John Shawinimash. A year ago, in the early morning hours of Sept. 3, 2014, the body of his son, 32-year-old Will Wapoose, was found by a passerby at Chapples Park. Police have yet to make an arrest in the case.

THUNDER BAY – A local business is showing its resiliency. After its store was destroyed by a Friday evening fire last week, the business owners of Fresh Air Experience and Cyclepath have continued its operation.

UPDATE: According to the Thunder Bay Police Service the bear has been tranquilized by the MNR, and is back on its way to the forest.
