Another fire in the Westfort area is under investigation. Arson is suspected in an early morning garage fire in the 500 block of East Empire Avenue. Fast work by Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue firefighters contained the damage to that building.

Firefighters were able to bring a small house fire under control before it did any major damage. Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue responded to a call about a house fire on Mayflower Drive just before 8 p.m. on Monday.
