Highway 125 reopened

Highway 125 near Red Lake has been reopened after being closed for much of Saturday. The highway was closed at Highway 105 by the Ontario Provincial Police at 3:15 p.m. after a serious multi-vehicle collision.

A man charged with murder will have his next court date in the New Year. The 18-year-old suspect, who was 17 at the time of the victim’s death, was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning but was remanded until Jan. 9.

Revera Home Health Care workers takes step toward strike action

There has been a breakdown in contract talks between Revera Home Health Care and its Personal Support Workers in the Dryden area. Representatives with Unifor Local 324 say the workers have been without a contract since June 1.
