There’s been yet another armed robbery in Thunder Bay. Police say at about 10:17 p.m. a man entered a Mac's Convenience Store on South Syndicate Avenue armed with a knife and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

City council votes to keep travel budget as is
City councilors have voted to keep their travel budget the way it is. City Clerk John Hannam proposed a $10,000 cut to the travel budget for city councilors last week. That would have brought the travel expenses down to $20,000 a year.

Man charged after firing shotgun into the air
Police charged an 18-year-old Oliver Paipoonge man with a variety of firearms offences after he allegedly fired his shotgun into the air. Thunder Bay Police Service responded around 3 a.m. Saturday to a number of reports of a shots being fired.
