Letters to the Editor

LETTER: Pro-lifers deserve better treatment

To the editor: Thank you for the news report on the assault of the pro-life assembly last Saturday. It is too bad that some opinions are not respected in that the pro-life personnel had to endure such an action.

Letter: Make relief money accessible to all

Why is it any of the City of Thunder Bay's business if you have flood and sewage backup insurance? I would think that a claim is a claim, and if someone does not want to put a claim on their insurance they should not have to.

LETTER: Waterfront development good and bad

To the editor: There are five stages to the current waterfront development, and with the opening of the children's water pad, it was stated that this completed the public part of the waterfront project.

LETTER: Sidewalk patios great idea

To the editor: How great to have a street fair and get to know Thunder Bay by expanding St. Paul Street. There has been too much negative said about the waterfront . Good job, Jim. Barb Setala, Thunder Bay

LETTER: Women have right to choose, not be guilted over abortion debate

To the editor: Every person has a right to a choice when it involves their lives and their bodies, just as every person has a right to their voice.

Fantastic plastic

I like paper bags. I’ve used them all – lunch, bread and grocery – and when they’re empty I fold them up and put them in a drawer until their next assignment.

LETTER: Floods a lesson in prevention

With recent floods in the city of Thunder Bay let me present to you the following observation.

EDITORIAL: Aftermath an eye-opener

It’s been a tough couple of weeks in Thunder Bay. As many as 5,000 residences have been affected by the flood that devastated the city’s Atlantic Avenue water treatment facility.

Letter: A thank you and farewell to Katimavik

Dear Editor, On May 31, our newly formed Community Action Group held a neighborhood cleanup and barbecue in the Windsor, Picton and Bloucher area.

It's a small world
