Winnipeg murder suspect may have fled to Thunder Bay

Police say Neigel Ryan Noel, 53, is wanted for second-degree murder in the killing of a 39-year-old Winnipeg man.

THUNDER BAY – Police in Winnipeg say a suspect wanted in the murder of a 39-year-old man may have fled to Thunder Bay.

The Winnipeg Police homicide unit says it has identified 53-year-old Neigel Ryan Noel as a suspect, noting he is now wanted for second-degree murder and is believed to have fled to Ontario, possibly to the Thunder Bay area.

Noel is described as 5-foot-9 with a heavy build.

He sports tattoos that include ‘Veni Vidi Vici on his chest and CREAM on his right arm.

Police warn the public not to approach Noel as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Winnipeg police, in a release issued on Friday, say they were called to the 400 block of Young Street, for a disturbance and a serious assault at about 9 p.m. on May 4. Upon arrival they located the victim, Scott Matthew Catcheway of Winnipeg.
