North core power restored (UPDATE)
THUNDER BAY – Power has been restored in the north core. Much of the city’s north core is without power this morning. Power was interrupted in the area just after 6:30 a.m. when a bird made contact with “active equipment.

Permanent swim advisory at local beach finally lifted
THUNDER BAY – The permanent swim advisory at Chippewa Park's main beach has been lifted. The Thunder Bay District Health Unit removed the advisory earlier this year after it had been in place for the entire 2014 swimming season.
