GERALDTON, Ont. – A pair of youths in this community face 16 charges following reports of thefts from vehicles late last week.

KENORA – The OPP’s drug enforcement unit stopped two men in a vehicle on Highway 17A. After searching the men and the vehicle, officers found what they believe to be $10,000 worth of drugs.

A busy Thunder Bay street will be shut down for more than a month due to underground construction work. A section of Neebing Avenue was closed Tuesday, forcing some residents in the area to take alternate routes to get to and from their homes.

The Hymers Fall Fair will be celebrating a century this weekend. To commemorate the milestone, the Thunder Bay Carvers group has presented the Hymers Agricultural Board with a hand-carved sign, which took 37 members of the group to make.
