Arson suspected in three car fires
City police suspect arson after three vehicles were found on fire early Monday morning. Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service noticed the vehicles on fire in a lot on 11th Avenue just after 3 a.m.

MNR confirmed 40 new forest fires during weekend
Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources reported having a very active weekend for forest fires in the Northwest. Officials with the MNR say nearly 40 new fires were confirmed over the two days, 24 of those having started on Saturday.
