AbitibiBowater has a new name. After an internal selection process that saw hundreds of entries from employees, the company has decided to call itself Resolute Forest Products. The change will take effect on Nov.

Stabbing-spree suspect makes first court appearance

Thunder Bay Police are investigating another incident in which a vehicle has caused extensive damage to a city owned golf course. Police say sometime over the weekend, a car was driven onto Chapples Golf Course and two greens were torn up.

A two alarm fire sent one person to hospital Sunday night. Smoke was spotted coming from a second story window at a home on Banning Street just after 11 p.m. Sunday. Fire crews entered the building and contained the fire to an upstairs bedroom.
