THUNDER BAY -- A third case of COVID-19 has been reported at Ecole Gron Morgan Public School, adding to a growing list of cases impacting Thunder Bay schools.

The Lakehead District School Board confirmed the news in a release Sunday evening, saying parents and guardians of students in affected cohorts and others identified as close contacts would be contacted by public health.

A case was reported at the North End elementary school Thursday, joined by a second on Saturday, when the public board announced five new cases impacting four of its schools.

Affected schools include Gron Morgan, Woodcrest, Kingsway Park, Hammarskjold, St. Ignatius, St. Ann, St. Martin, Elsie MacGill, and Westgate.
