Woman hit by train receives non-life threatening injuries

A 36-year-old-woman from Kenora received non-life threatening injuries after a train struck her while walking along the tracks. OPP officers received a call around 7 p.m. Tuesday that a train struck someone Railway Street near 16th Avenue North.

The Underground Gym is fighting to stay open. The gym and youth centre along Simpson Street has offered a place for children in the neighbourhood a place to go after school for the past 14 years, but the centre has struggled financially.
