Should the city restrict the amount of cats and dogs a person can own? It's a question Coun. Aldo Ruberto is bringing to council Monday night. Currently there is no bylaw on the books restricting the number of dogs or cats a person can own.

Driver taken to hospital after transport hits rock cut
A transport truck driver is in hospital after a crash near Cahce Lake. Marathon OPP responded to the collision around just after 11 a.m. Thursday. The westbound transport struck a rock cut along Highway 17 in Lacoeur Township.

Hero dog Spyro inspires fundraiser for New Hope Dog Rescue
A fundraiser has been set up in honour of the dog killed by a black bear while it was protecting its owner. Spyro was a miniature Schnauzer that died on Saturday at Sandbar Lake Provincial Park near Ignace.
