Local artist faces sexual assault charge
A Thunder Bay artist and sculptor faces sexual assault charges after an alleged incident involving a 23-year-old woman who was modeling for him. Luc Paul Despres, 46, is due to appear in court on July 19. He will face one count of sexual assault.

It appears eight Thunder Bay Police officers collected a hefty cheque following the G8 and G20 summits last June. According to documents acquired by CBC/Radio Canada, the eight officers averaged $6,611.20 apiece for eight days of work, or $826 a day.
