The nation’s capital wasn’t a welcoming spot for the Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team.

The fourth time was the charm for Hammarskjold Vikings placekicker Mitchell Hannusch. Hannusch booted a 13-yard field goal Friday night with five seconds on the clock, capturing a 13-10 win over the previously undefeated Churchill Trojans.

The Lakehead Thunderwolves are getting better by the week. But it doesn’t seem to be quite good enough yet to secure a win in the competitive OUA volleyball circuit.
